InTension Health CARE
The InTension Health Club has been formed to offer financial support to people who suffer from a handicap or serious disability, in order to ease the burden of their illness. For instance, if a certain medecine, product or service falls outside the (full) medical insurance coverage, then a request can be made to the IHC for assistance. The financial support offered by IHC can be used, for example, for an operation, artificial limbs, spectacles or a hearing aid, or even for a subscription to a sport school.
The IHC foundation will raise the required funds by means of the following:
- € 5 from an obligatory entrance fee paid by new members
- part of the United Consumers proceeds
- other donations
Applicants who wish to put forward a claim to the IHC should send in a motivated application letter.
In this letter they should state for whom the claim is being made (name and age), the required product/service, and a clear motivation for their request for financial support from IHC. This letter will be reviewed by the IHC board, and there will be a vote by the board members on the acceptance/non-acceptance for (partial) financial support. The applicant will be informed at the earliest possible moment on the decision reached. If the board has agreed to accept the application, then further discussions will be arranged with those involved.
Payment (partial or otherwise) of the financial support offered by the IHC for the required service or product will be processed by direct invoicing to the specialised provider concerned. This will ensure that the financial support is indeed used for the requested and designated assistance.
